Networking Groups
LivingWell offers networking groups for individuals with cancer. Groups provide participants with the opportunity to give and receive support and exchange information with other survivors and family members with the same or similar type of cancer.
Drop ins welcome.
Breast Cancer Networking Group
Meets the third Monday of the month from 7:00-8:30pm
Brain Tumor Resource and Support Group
*Caregivers welcome
Meets the first and third Wednesday of the month from 7:30-9:00pm.
Gynecological Cancer Networking Group
(open to individuals with Ovarian, Cervical, Uterine, and other Gynecological cancers).
Meets on the first Monday of the month from 7:00-8:30pm
Lung Cancer Networking Group
*Caregivers welcome
Meets the second Monday of the month from 7:00-8:30pm
Leukemia, Lymphoma, and Multiple Myeloma Networking Group
This group is now open to those with Multiple Myeloma. Meets on the third Monday of the month from 7:00-8:30pm
Mastectomy Networking Group
Meets the second and fourth Wednesday of the month from 7:30-9:00pm.
NEW! Parenting Through Cancer
Networking Breakfast
Open to those parenting through cancer including parents with cancer, their significant other, and parents who have a child with cancer. Meets the second Saturday of the month from 9-10:15am
NEW! I’m Too Young For This!
Young Adult Networking Group
Open to young adults ages 17-35 who have or have had cancer. Meets every first Thursday of the month from 7-8:30pm
Serenity Shawl Knitting Circle
Do you knit, crochet or do needlepoint? Join our knitting group. The group is currently open to the community and meets Tuesdays from 1:00-2:30pm.
Support Groups
LivingWell offers support groups for individuals with cancer. Support groups provide participants with the opportunity to share information, provide comfort, teach coping skills, help reduce anxiety, and provide a place for people to share common concerns and emotional support.
Registration is necessary.
Club Courageous
Club Courageous is a weekly support group for children ages 6-17 who have cancer or who have a family member with cancer. They will be involved in a variety of educational, recreational, and support activities to help them process their cancer experience.
The group meets every Thursday after school from 4:30-5:30pm.
NEW! Committed Support-Daytime
Committed Support is a 12-week daytime support group for individuals with all types and stages of cancer. The group will consist of giving and receiving support as a way to cope with the effects of cancer. Committed Support is led by facilitators specifically trained in psychosocial oncology. Pre-registration is required. Group is open to new participants during the first three weeks of the quarter.This group meets Mondays from 10-11:30am.
Committed Support-Evening
Committed Support is a 12-week evening support group for individuals with all types and stages of cancer. The group will consist of giving and receiving support as a way to cope with the effects of cancer. Committed Support is led by facilitators specifically-trained in psychosocial oncology. Pre-registration is required. Group is open to new participants during the first three weeks of the quarter. This group meets Tuesdays from 6:30-8pm.
Caregiver’s Support
Caregiver’s Support is a 12-week support group designed for people who are caring for loved ones living with cancer. The group will meet at the same time as the Committed Support Group on Tuesday evenings giving couples the ability to come together, but attend separate groups that address their specific concerns. Pre-registration is required. Group is open to new participants during the first three weeks of the quarter. Call for additional information after October 21.
This group meets Tuesdays from 6:30-8:00pm.
