Mind, Body, Fitness Programs
All Mind, Body, Fitness programs require a doctor’s note and a health history to be provided prior to the first class attended. MBF programs are drop in unless otherwise noted, please see calendar. For non-registration classes, please call first if there is any question about classes being cancelled due to inclement weather.

The following forms can be printed here or obtained from the front desk at LivingWell. Please bring these to your first class if they have not already been completed
Healing Touch & Reiki
Healing Touch and Reiki are gentle, noninvasive energy healing systems that works to balance body, mind and spirit promoting deep relaxation and a feeling of well being and inner calm. Healing Touch & Reiki are available by appointment only, so please call ahead.
Massage
People living with cancer and their caregivers can come and enjoy the healing touch of massage provided by licensed massage therapists. Massage is available by appointment only. (Signed doctor’s release and health history form required prior to appointment).
Yoga
These are gentle yoga classes which include techniques to calm the mind and restore the body. They offer simple breathing techniques to shift the mind and body from a stress response to a relaxation and healing mode.
This class meets every Thursday from 9:30-10:30am and 6-7pm.
The Joy of Movement with Nia
Nia helps to create weight loss, balance the nervous system and improve the functioning of the mind, body and spirit through the enjoyable combination of dance and the healing arts. No experience is required for this fun class that combines music and movement. Meets every first and third Tuesday of the month from 6-7pm.
Pilates
Strengthen your core (abs) and back and create long, lean muscles with this refreshing mind/body workout. Meets every second and fourth Wednesday of the month from 6-7pm. Pilates will be held at an offsite location at a Pilates studio in St. Charles. Please call to register and get directions.
Women on Weights
Have fun while building strength, muscle, and endurance with light weights and cardiovascular fitness routines. Class meets every Monday from 5-5:40pm. Gym shoes are recommended.
Yoga & Meditation
This class includes basic yoga techniques for reducing stress, increasing flexibility, and supporting immune system functioning, and incorporates meditative techniques and guided imagery. This class meets every Monday from 6-7pm and every Tuesday from 9:30-10:30am.
Yoga by Design
This class is designed to address the needs of those dealing with breast cancer and the side effects of its treatment. Specially designed poses and modifications will assist in increasing mobility and strength after breast cancer treatment in a safe and gentle way. Yoga by Design will meet from 6:15 to 7:15 on the fourth Wednesday of the month (prior to the Mastectomy Support Group). Registration is requested.
Qigong (pronounced Chee-Gong)
This class is based on five basic movements from the Chinese healing art which are said to be excellent for maintaining health and relieving stress, as well as combating cancer and mitigating the effects of treatment.
