All Mind, Body, Fitness programs require a doctor’s note and a health history to be provided prior to the first class attended.

Acupressure & Reflexology

Acupressure and Reflexology involve the practice of massaging or applying pressure to various acupressure points on the body with the goal of reducing stress and supporting overall health. These services are available by appointment.  (Signed doctor’s release and health history form required prior to appointment)  

Healing Touch & Reiki

Healing Touch, Quantum Touch and Reiki (pronounced ray-kee) are gentle, noninvasive energy healing systems that channel energy through the hands of a trained practitioner, which are placed on or above different parts of the client’s fully clothed body and support the body’s own natural healing process. The healing energy flows to wherever it is needed, promoting deep relaxation, well-being and inner calm.  These services are available by appointment at LivingWell in Geneva and at the CDH Cancer Center in Warrenville.   (Signed doctor’s release and health history form required prior to appointment).

Massage

People living with cancer and their caregivers can come and enjoy the healing touch of massage provided by licensed massage therapists.  Massage is available by appointment only. (Signed doctor’s release and health history form required prior to appointment). These services are available by appointment at LivingWell in Geneva and at the CDH Cancer Center in Warrenville.

Facials for Skin Health and Stress Relief

Enjoy a relaxing facial by licensed estheticians.  This service is available by appointment.

Pilates

Strengthen your core (abs) and back and create long, lean muscles with this refreshing mind/body workout.  Meets every second and fourth Wednesday of the month from 6-7pm.  Pilates will be held at an offsite location at a Pilates studio in St. Charles.  Please call to register and get directions. Laughter Club

Sometimes laughter is the best medicine!  Join laughter yoga leader and facilitator, Terri Reasoner, for some time to de-stress with laughter. Open to the community.  Come once to try it out or come to every session for greatest benefit. Meets the second and fourth Wednesday from 6-7pm.  Those attending for the first time require pre-registration.

LivingWell Fitness 

This upbeat class rotates through a variety of fitness routines, including cardiovascular routines, light weight training, fitness balls, bands and more.  Movements can be modified for all levels of fitness.  Open to men & women.  Meets Mondays from 5:00-5:40pm.  Gym shoes are recommended.  (Signed doctor’s release and health history form required prior to class).

LivingWell Walking Club

Why walk alone when you can enjoy the company of friends?  Enjoy an invigorating morning walk along the Fox River and through scenic neighborhoods.  We will meet in the parking lot of Mill Race Cyclery, at the corner of Routes 38 and 25.  Sessions will include a brief stretch to warm up and cool down, and a 45-minute walk. 

Drop-ins are welcome, but registration is requested in case there is a change in the meeting place. In cases of inclement weather, a session may be canceled without notice. Meets Fridays, 8:30 am during October at the Mill Race Cyclery Parking Lot.

LivingWell Yoga

Yoga helps to increase flexibility, reduce anxiety and stress, support the immune system and enhance overall well-being.  Poses are modified to adapt to all levels of experience, flexibility and limitations and are open to all! Meets Mondays from 5:45-6:45pm, Tuesdays & Thursdays from 9:30-10:30am.  (Signed doctor’s release and health history form required prior to class)

LivingWell Yoga for Men

A yoga class especially designed for guys and taught by yoga teacher Joe Schatz.  Learn to balance strength, stretching and relaxation in a low stress setting appropriate for even the most inflexible person. Meets Tuesdays from 6-7pm. (Signed doctor’s release and health history form required prior to class)

LivingWell Yoga at the Prana Yoga Center

Gentle, restorative yoga for all levels.  Students are not required to attend the entire series, but are encouraged to do so for the greatest benefits.  Each student will be required to have a physician’s release form, a health history form and a participant form submitted to LivingWell prior to attendance.  Pre-registration is required. No drop ins. Meets Sundays at the Prana Yoga Center, 321 N. Stevens, Geneva, IL. Call for dates/times. 

T'ai Chi Chih

Join Accredited T’ai Chi Chih™  teacher, Terry Slaney, for a series of simple and graceful, non-strenuous movements that circulate and balance the vital energy that flows within us.  These movements can be practiced by anyone, any age, either standing or sitting.  Enjoy improved flexibility and balance, increased energy, reduced stress, and a feeling of greater serenity and well-being. Meets Wednesdays, 9:30-10:30am.  Registration is required. (Signed doctor’s release and health history form required prior to class)

The Joy of Movement with Nia

Join certified Nia instructor Jennifer Cesario as she leads you in this amazing class.  Move, dance, and burn calories as you integrate and balance mind, body and spirit.  No experience required-- try it!  For more information on this fun and effective workout, see http://www.nianow.com.  Meets every first Tuesday from 5-6pm (October 4, November 1, December 6)
