Participant Form

Networking Groups

LivingWell offers networking groups for individuals with cancer. Groups provide participants with the opportunity to give and receive support and exchange information with other survivors and family members with the same or similar type of cancer.

Breast Cancer Networking Group  

Meets the third Monday of the month from 7:00-8:30pm

Brain Tumor Resource and Support Group

*Caregivers welcome    

Meets the first and third Wednesday of the month from 7:30-9:00pm.

Gynecological Cancer Networking Group

(open to individuals with Ovarian, Cervical, Uterine, and other Gynecological cancers).

Meets on the first Monday of the month from 7:00-8:30pm

Leukemia, Lymphoma, and Multiple Myeloma Networking Group  

This group is now open to those with Multiple Myeloma. Meets on the third Monday of the month from 7:00-8:30pm

Mastectomy Networking Group 

Open to women who have had a mastectomy. group discussion will focus on the emotional, physical, and psychological impact of a mastectomy. Meets the second and fourth Wednesday of the month from 7:30-9:00pm. *Those considering a mastectomy are asked to come at 7pm and talk with the group facilitator prior to the start of the meeting.

Support Groups

LivingWell offers support groups for individuals with cancer. Support groups provide participants with the opportunity to share information, provide comfort, teach coping skills, help reduce anxiety, and provide a place for people to share common concerns and emotional support.

Registration is necessary.

FACT

FACT is a 12-week evening support group for individuals with all types and stages of cancer. The group will consist of giving and receiving support as a way to cope with the effects of cancer.  Committed Support is led by facilitators specifically-trained in psychosocial oncology. Pre-registration is required. Group is open to new participants during the first three weeks of the quarter. This group meets Tuesdays from 6:30-8pm. 

Caregiver’s Support

Caregiver’s Support is a 12-week support group designed for people who are caring for loved ones living with cancer. The group will meet at the same time as the FACT group on Tuesday evenings giving couples the ability to come together, but attend separate groups that address their specific concerns.  Pre-registration is required. Group is open to new participants during the first three weeks of the quarter. This group meets Tuesdays from 6:30-8:00pm.

Good Grief

The first year after the death of a loved one is often the most difficult time in a person's life.  Good Grief is an 11 week, time limited groupthat provides education and emotional support for participnats of LivingWell who have recently experienced the loss of a loved one to cancer.    Topics will the stages of grief, coping with the holidays and special events, and techniques to help participants grow through the grief process. Group is open to new memebers during the first 2 weeks of each quarter. Pre-registration is required. Meets Thursdays from 5:30-7pm. 

Living Water Cancer Support Group (A partnership with Christ Community Church)

LivingWell is proud to host Christ Community Church's Living Water Cancer Support Group.  This group focuses on the emotional, spiritual, and physical aspects of dealing with cancer and offers support and encouragement while helping people discover joy, hope, and healing through the Christian faith.  Meets on the first and third Saturdays of every month from 10-11:30am. Open to those diagnosed with cancer, caregivers, and survivors. First time attendees require pre-registration. 630-262-1111.

Survivorship Support Group NEW DAY/TIME

This group allows cancer survivors to explore common experiences of survivorship and learn ways to cope with the challenges and emotions that survivorship means. Pre-registartion is required. This group meets every second Monday from 7:00-8:30pm.

Us TOO Prostate Cancer Support Group

LivingWell is proud to partner with Provena Saint Joseph Hospital and Provena Mercy Medical Center's Oncology Chaplain, Paster Don Shank, to bring Us Too to our center.  Group meetings provide unbaised information from experts in areas related to prostate cancer including treatment options, pain control, nutrition, mental health, coping strategies, and more.  Meetings are open to all men, family, freinds, and health proffessionals interested in prostate cancer/disease.  Meets every third Tuesday from 10:30-11:30am. Drop in!
