Losing someone you love to cancer can be a painful and difficult time.  LivingWell’s bereavement programs will help you understand the grief process and give you tools and tips on how to cope with your loss.

GOOD GRIEF

Thursdays, 6:00 – 7:30 pm

Good Grief is an 11-week time limited group providing education and emotional support for participants of LivingWell who recently experienced the loss of a loved one to cancer. Topics include the stages of grief, coping with holidays and special events and techniques to help participants grow through the grief process. Group is open to new members during the first three weeks of the quarter. Registration is required by April 18.

 

GOOD GRIEF FOR PARENTS

Good Grief for Parents is a 5-week bereavement group providing education and emotional support for parents who have lost a child to cancer. Topics include the stages of grief, coping with holidays and special events, and techniques to help parents grow through the grief process. Sessions will be offered for parents who have lost an adult child as well as for parents who have lost a child under the age of 18. To register please contact program coordinator, Laurel Fisher, LPC at LivingWell.

Session 1: Wednesdays, April 3 – May 1, 6:30 – 8:00 pmOpen to parents who have lost a child under the age 18 to cancer

ME TOO: CHILDREN’S GRIEF

Our Me Too group offers grief support for children ages 6-12 who have experienced the death of a parent, sibling, relative or friend due to cancer. Group is open to new members during the first two weeks of the quarter. Registration is required. Call for meeting dates/times.
