Join an Event

LivingWell hosts two annual fundraisers each year to help support our mission. Volunteers are the back bone to the planning and organization and vital to the success of these events. Whether you are 16 or 60, we all have special “gifts” just waiting to be shared in a variety of rolls needed to plan these two events.

In February, our invitation-only Winter Wine Festival is held in a private home offering lavish hors d’oeuvres and unique and interesting wines to its guest. A committee of 20 to 30 volunteers coordinates this distinctive cocktail party and they kick-off the planning 5 months prior to the event. There is a committee to secure sponsorships, invitations, hors d’oeuvres & wine, music & flowers and raffle & auction items. You may volunteer on the planning committee or volunteer the night of the event by helping with coat-check, registration, serving, the live auction or set-up and clean-up.

In May our 5K Bridge walk along the Fox River teams up thousands of individuals, family and friends, churches and schools, civic and service groups to raise money and awareness for LivingWell.

A committee of 20 to 40 volunteers work together to coordinate this very special morning event. There are a variety of tasks associated with this volunteer team including; “team recruitment”, corporate sponsorship, securing food, snacks, beverages and entertainment; and assisting in the planning of the logistics, kids tent and the survivor tent.

You may volunteer on the planning committee of the Bridge Walk or volunteer the week of the event. The week of the event, we need volunteers to organize tee shirts, stuff participant packets, help with set-up and tear-down tasks, registration, and support the water stations and the walk route.
